Construction Lead Position at Logiculture LLC
We are looking for a highly motivated builder and leader to help cultivate beautiful, ecologically conscious urban landscapes in San Francisco while working in a team environment.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
You’ll lend your expertise in reimagining clients’ outdoor areas and then lead construction elements and assist with additional elements of the project along with a crew of teammates to bring that vision to life. You’ll ensure projects are completed as planned by managing material planning, acquisition, and installation, as well as ensuring teammates are implementing best practices for construction related activities. You’ll operate and supervise the operation of landscaping equipment, ensuring site safety for the team and code compliance for builds.
Primary Responsibilities:
● In partnership with other Logiculture leaders, translate clients’ visions from designs and proposals to project plans and installation
● Manage day to day job site construction activities including supervision of other teammates
● Lead construction of hardscape elements (e.g., retaining walls, decks, fences, stairs, patios, masonry, concrete work, etc.), including site surveying and preparation, structural design, material planning, acquisition, and installation
● Assist Project Manager in team organization and task distribution for efficient project management
● Execute design/build decisions consistent with the brand, showing highest quality craftsmanship, achieving both form and function
● Demonstrate strong communication skills among team members
● Demonstrate strong client orientation by developing and maintaining a friendly and
responsive rapport with clients
Additional Responsibilities:
● Develop firm grasp on non-construction trade knowledge, including horticulture, irrigation, and lighting
● Assist team in maintaining clients’ outdoor spaces to ensure healthy plant growth and lasting constructed elements, repairing elements as needed
Preferred Experience:
● At least 5 years experience in landscape construction or related field
● Proficiency in structural and finish carpentry, masonry, & concrete
● Prior experience managing team members
● Fluency with San Francisco and CA state building code requirements
● Proficiency in Spanish language is a plus
● Driver’s License and clean driving record
● Own a vehicle for transportation to various job sites
Compensation & Benefits
● Starting wage $35-42/hr based on experience
● 2 weeks paid vacation
