Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled LEAD Digital Press Operator to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will be responsible for operating, and maintaining digital printing presses, supervising staff and maintaining priority with the printing schedule. We operate both Heidelberg Versafire model presses and booklet maker as well as an HP Indigo 7k. This role requires a keen eye for detail and production deadlines, training staff as needed, dedication to producing high-quality printed materials and previous experience with digital print press machines.
Essential Functions:
Monitor press runs for quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary to meet product specifications.
Actively RUN machines through daily, weekly and monthly maintenance
Manipulate color calibration to meet the client's expectation
Manager workflow of print order in the que, keep paper well tocked for production
Train operators and maintain lead supervisory skills
Set up supplies and paper and and supervise the printing press during each operation
Monitor press runs for quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary to meet product specifications.
Produce the required quantity of products within established specifications and tolerances
Collaborate with the pre-press and finishing departments to ensure a seamless production workflow with scheduling
Checks finished printed products, ensuring compliance with function, quality and cosmetic specifications
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Keep machines scheduled and running at maxium capacity
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in printing technology preferred
3-5 years proven experience as a Press Operator or similar role in the printing industry
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines
Problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot issues
Knowledge of printing software and design applications (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous

Salary & Benefits:
Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year if fully qualified for this position
