The Onsite Foreman will be responsible for numerous field and administrative duties, including but not limited to performing home maintenance and construction services, job quotes, and scheduling and overseeing contractors onsite. Excellent communication and people skills are a must. This is NOT an entry-level position. Previous experience and knowledge of residential construction are required. Experience with MEP systems, green building, environmental testing and/or remediation, and home maintenance are a bonus. Additional training will be provided for the right candidate.
This is a flexible Part-time position dependent on project load. Project area will vary but will include the North Bay. Limited benefits are associated with this position at this time. Hourly wage determined based on experience and qualifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (This is a list the primary duties and responsibilities that are a critical part of this job. For each major responsibility, we've indicated the estimated percentage of time spent.)
1. Onsite Construction & Home Maintenance & Project Oversight: (70%)
Miscellaneous construction activities including carpentry, drywall, painting, light Plumbing and Electrical, etc.
Home maintenance including changing air and water filters, cleaning gutters, servicing kitchen appliances and HVAC system
Purchasing Project and Maintenance Materials and Tools
Coordinating with onsite Subcontractors in regard to scope of work overlap, quality control, safety, cleanliness, schedule coordination, and making sure their scope of work is being executed as contracted
Photographing job progress, reporting work order progress, and ensuring quality work, correct practices, meeting project schedules and budgets
Reading plans and specifications
Leading the contracting team onsite and ensuring they have their schedules and work duties. Provide a Safe working environment following OSHA and Company safety protocols
Overseeing training of existing and new recruits
2. Job Walks & Project Estimating & Sub Coordination: (20%)
Attend initial and subcontractor site meetings to take measurements, photos, and assist in providing quotes for services
Provide Plans/Drawings for projects requiring permitting
3. Other: (10%)
Miscellaneous Administrative Tasks: Posting Timesheets in QuickBooks, Using Google Office Suite for Calendaring, Email, and Electronic Filing.
Communicating to project managers/supervisors
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will directly supervise other construction and contractor personnel
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience: College or Trade School Degree OR Ability to demonstrate general skills and knowledge required for the position. Construction Management, CPR & OSHA Safety Certification a plus.

Able to drive
Able to lift and carry 50 lbs
Able to climb ladders and work outside
Able to get into a crawlspace
Able to operate power tools
Bi-lingual, English Spanish
Other: (Includes licenses, certificates, age, etc.)
Valid California driver’s license and be insurable by the company
No record/conviction of any theft-related crime or felony
Not wear fragrances or use fragrant soaps, detergents, or strongly scented personal care products on workdays
Have access to vehicle and generally be available between 8-5pm weekdays
CPR and/or OSHA Safety Certificate a plus
Other Preferred Job Qualifications – (not required but would be great to have):
Familiarity and experience using QuickBooks accounting software
General knowledge of “green building” techniques and rating systems (e.g., GPR, LEED)
General knowledge of environmental testing and/or mitigation
