Sonoma Reinforcing Inc. is a locally owned concrete reinforcing steel contractor in Windsor that fabricates and installs rebar in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, and Mendocino counties. We are looking for a Shop Foreman for our fabrication department.
Job Type: Full-time, M-F from 7am – 3:30pm
Location: 10001 Old Redwood Hwy. Windsor, CA 95492
Pay: DOE but range from $30 - $40 hr
Responsibilities:
This is a working foreman position. You’ll be doing the same work as the crew you lead. Below are just some of the tasks you’d be responsible for.
Handle off-loading of rebar received from Mill suppliers
Plan & Distribute work to yard personnel and manage workflow
Monitor working environment to ensure a safe workplace, enforce safety regulations and guidelines
Supervise the loading of trucks to ensure the appropriate materials are included with delivery and loading is
performed in accordance with delivery requirements
Communicate with the General Manager and team with regards to scheduling of deliveries
Operate a shear machine
Operate bending machines
Operate a forklift
Preassemble cages, piers, caissons, mats, and other structures
Work overtime as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 5 years’ experience in a rebar shop or manufacturing setting or equivalent
Two years previous supervisor experience in a manufacturing or construction setting
Ability to read & interpret shop drawings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Mathematical skills and critical thinking
Forklift Certified (we will provide training/certification)
