Small Garden Company is looking for a skilled Gardener 4-5 days week
Monday-Friday8:00am to 4:00pm (end time is approximate).

Our company maintains over 130 Gardens with a wide variety of California and Mediterranean plants, edibles, fruit trees, ornamentals and native perennials.
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for hard-working positive and engaged gardeners. You will be in the field with another gardener maintaining gardens in Berkeley and Oakland. We are looking for a horticulturist who has professional experience in fine gardening and maintenance, including Plant ID, disease and nutrition issues, strong aesthetic pruning skills, and lawn and drip irrigation skills. You are looking for a place to work for a long time, with a great group of co-workers. You have a driver's license. (Driving is required). PLEASE ONLY RESPOND IF YOU HAVE A CALIFORNIA DRIVER'S LICENSE
REQUIREMENTS
Some but not all of these skills are required.
- comprehensive plant identification, care and culture
- skilled pruning, including fruit tree pruning, espalier, shrub reduction
- irrigation troubleshooting and repair
- lawn care
- sustainable maintenance practices
- planting practices
- vegetable gardening
- sheet mulching
- soil amending
- water conservation practices.
Must have a valid driver's license, and clean DMV record.
Must drive stick shift
Spanish speaker a plus
Must have great job attendance
JOB DETAILS:
Starting Pay depending on experience - $20-25
Meet every morning in South Berkeley.
