Commercial General Contractor specializing in Medical Construction is seeking a Full Time Working Superintendent. Ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years experience as a Superintendent in commercial and medical construction, knowledgeable in all areas of construction, strong leadership and communication skills, a strong work ethic and organized. The Superintendent will oversee daily on-site operations, manage subcontractors, ensure adherence to project schedules, and maintain high-quality standards of construction projects.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate the work of all trades
Identifying and solving conflicts before they arise
Making sure subcontractors comply with plans and specifications
Schedule subcontractors
Provide trouble shooting
Meet with city inspectors and all special inspection agencies
Quality Control to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget and is of the highest quality
Maintains positive relationship with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and employees
Promotes job safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately
Documents project conditions daily and attend weekly project meetings
Qualifications
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proven experience in construction management or related field
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction practices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong organization and time-management skills
Attention to detail and quality control
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or relevant field is preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA) are a plus
