We are a 24/7/365 taxi cab company with a fleet of 40-50 vehicles serving the East Bay Area of Oakland, all nearby airports, and our corporate accounts averaging 20-40 trips per day which are a priority. We are seeking qualified candidates for the following roles:
Dispatcher
Salary: Starting at $20+/hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Required availability for shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the deployment of a 30-vehicle fleet using a computerized dispatch system.
Assign trips efficiently to ensure timely service and optimal route management.
Monitor ongoing trips to ensure driver safety and customer satisfaction.
Handle urgent or unexpected situations, including rescheduling or rerouting as needed.
Communicate effectively with drivers regarding trip details, traffic updates, and schedule changes.
Maintain accurate records of trips, vehicle locations, and shift activities.
Collaborate with the call taker to prioritize corporate accounts and high-demand areas.
Qualifications:
Previous dispatching experience preferred, especially in a taxi, rideshare, or transportation setting.
Proficiency with computerized dispatch systems and basic office software.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication abilities.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
Familiarity with the East Bay Area and surrounding regions is required.
Call Taker
Salary: Starting at $15+/hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Required availability for shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls from customers promptly and professionally.
Input trip details accurately into the dispatch system, including pickup and drop-off locations.
Provide customers with fare estimates, wait times, and additional service information.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
Work closely with the dispatcher to communicate customer needs and preferences.
Prioritize and manage corporate account bookings, ensuring all trips are scheduled and completed on time.
Qualifications:
Strong phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills.
Ability to input data quickly and accurately.
Experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
Familiarity with the East Bay Area and surrounding regions is required.
Proficiency with computerized systems and basic office software.
