Duties will include performing landscape maintenance and landscape installations under the supervision of a contractor. Work is scheduled to begin mid-March-November.
Landscape maintenance involves raking and removing/hauling debris, pruning plants (perennials, shrubs, and small trees), chainsaw work, weeding, weed trimming, blowing hardscapes, brushing, and fertilizing.
Landscape installation involves sod removal and install, digging holes and trenches, raking and grading soil, installing and gluing irrigation pipe, drip line, and emitters, installing landscape fabric, planting, and moving soil, rock, and mulch manually and with machines.
Candidate must be 25 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
Skills Required:
Must be able to operate a truck and tow a trailer, safely operate power tools and 2 stroke engine type tools, effectively communicate with supervisors, staff, and clients, and be able to withstand challenging work conditions such as rain, snow, heat, dust, smoke, heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending over, and stooping for long periods.
