We are seeking a friendly, organized, hard working, kennel technician to join our team.
Position offered: Full-time, M-TH
Hours: 7:50 AM - 6:30 PM
Pay scale: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour (dependent on skill level)
Benefits, CA sick, paid time off, and discounted veterinary care offered to full time employees after their grace period(90 days)
Job Duties:
Physically able to lift 50 pounds
Communicates well with pet owners and can help ease their worry regarding their pet’s wellbeing
Can maintain a professional manner, even during stressful events
Has a genuine love for animals and exhibits patience with them and uses gentle handling techniques
Works well in a team setting and willing to assist technicians with patient care like nail trims, vaccines, radiographs
Is comfortable being involved in our patient's end of life care
Stocks exam rooms and treatment areas
Wash and dry towels and blankets
Wash and sterilize water and food bowls
Properly clean and sanitize kennels
Monitor each pet closely and notify technicians or veterinarians of any abnormal findings
Retrieve animals from reception area for drop off appointments
Returns animals to owners at pick-up
Walk all eligible dogs to provide potty relief during the day
Perform needed cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and tools used in job assignments
Assist technicians with end of day floor cleaning(vacuuming/mopping)
