United Staffing is working with a client in Paso Robles seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist for a temporary position starting in Mid-December. This role will provide critical support during a busy period. The ideal candidate should be someone who can jump right in and make an immediate impact. This position is expected to last approximately 3 months.
Job Description:
As a Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist, you will assist with managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and promptly. This role will involve working closely with the client and their vendors, maintaining financial records, and helping with month-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments
Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies
Assist in month-end close processes and reporting
Maintain accurate records and files for all financial transactions
Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries and issues
Use Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data entry and reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications:
Prior experience in accounts payable or related finance roles
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with construction accounts payable is a strong plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
High school diploma or equivalent; accounting certification or degree is a plus
Pay: $20-$25/hr DOE
