Position Overview:
Rugged Radios, a dynamic and growing company in off-road communication solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our in-house finance team. This role will support the CFO in managing financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, segment profitability and strategic planning. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a deep understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to financial analysis and management.

Responsibilities:
Partner closely with the CFO on financial oversight, budgeting, forecasting, department processes, and long-term financial planning.
Lead the monthly close process and preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy in accordance with GAAP standards.
Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory management.
Work closely with tax advisors, and banking partners.
Mentor accounting staff, promoting accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth.
Assist and maintain business segment profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with sales tax, business property tax filings, and 1099’s.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance, (CPA or CMA a plus).
5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong foundation in manufacturing, and inventory management.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with GAAP.
Solid understanding of accounting processes related to e-commerce, wholesale, and retail trades.
Proven ability to manage financial reporting, segment profitability, budgeting, and cash flow analysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to various departments.
Experience working in manufacturing environments, particularly with inventory costing and reconciliations.
Familiarity with multi-channel sales data, including e-commerce platforms.
Ability to analyze and interpret data from different sales and distribution channels to support growth strategies.
Knowledge of financial processes, business analysis and accounting technology to drive operational efficiencies.
