THE SANDBOX Santa Barbara, a coworking space, shared office and event venue, is searching for an individual to join our team in Paso Robles as a host and manager of our community of business professionals.
This is a part-time opportunity, ideally working 4 mornings per week (Tuesday to Friday or Monday to Thursday) from 8:30 to noon.
Compensation Range: $20 per hour.
This is a great role for a student with their mornings free, someone with an existing evening role, or someone who has their own business that can utilize the coworking space while not working for THE SANDBOX.
Responsibilities:

- Work onsite from 8:30 to noon as a host to answer member and visitor questions
- Keep the space tidy and neat, and keep the facility looking good
- Assist with new member growth and conduct tours of THE SANDBOX facility
- Help to organize monthly get togethers for SANDBOX members to build the community
- Engage the local community by networking & attending an occasional outside event (ex. Chamber of Commerce or Main Street Association)
- Answer emails from customers and individuals interested in working at THE SANDBOX
- Communicate clearly with SANDBOX members in person and via the phone or email
- Open the building in the morning and ensure it is ready for business
- Coordinate with additional staff members and the business owner to make sure the business is running smoothly
- Contribute to THE SANDBOX social media accounts
- Create signage for THE SANDBOX to announce events and communicate with members
Required Experience

- Experience in a role that relied on communication to customers
- A vibrant personality and ability to connect with people
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service and sales experience a plus
- An interest in entrepreneurship and business
Some Experience in the following software platforms would be helpful:

- Proficient Computer Skills (Google Business Suite)
- Email & Social Marketing (Mailchimp, Later, Buffer)
- Project Management & Communication (Slack, Airtable)
- Graphic Design (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
