The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in supporting the General Manager and department supervisors in daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows, quality control, and high customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
Operational Support
Assist the General Manager and Administrative Staff with daily operational tasks, including customer service,
cashiering and working across other departments as needed.
Oversee daily operations in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
Assist in monitoring the functionality of all Peripheral systems, including POS terminals, scales, and other
associated hardware.
Help delegate tasks to lower-level supervisors and staff, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner and up to
company standards.
Staff Management and Training:
Supervise team members and provide guidance on daily tasks and human relations to foster a positive work
environment.
Participate in orientation, and training of new hires, ensuring staff are well-prepared to meet operational standards.
Assist GM with scheduling optimization by providing feedback on staffing to optimize workforce efficiency.
Inventory and Vendor Management:
Assist in conducting monthly physical inventories
Monitor and verify supplier invoices to ensure accuracy
Collaborate with GM to ensure efficient inventory levels.
Quality Control and Compliance
Conduct daily quality control checks on food products and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following local, state, and company guidelines.
Customer Engagement and Marketing
Work with the GM, and admin staff to assist with implementing current promotions.
Respond to customer concerns and feedback, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
Reporting and Communication:
Report to Admin and General Manager regarding operational metrics, including sales, labor, and inventory data.
Participate in weekly meetings with the General Manager and bi-weekly meetings with department supervisors to address goals, challenges, and areas of
improvement.
Facilitate communication between frontline staff and upper management in areas of feedback from and about Staff.
Work Hours
The Assistant Manager is expected to work a minimum of 4-5 days, 30-40 hours per week. Flexibility is required, particularly during weekends, holidays, and peak business times.
Will assist in covering for the General Manager when necessary and ensure presence during high-volume periods.

Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a management role, preferably within the restaurant or retail industries.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team.
Familiarity with front and back-of-house operations, inventory management, and customer service.
Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is preferred.
Ability to assist the General Manager with operational needs.
Education and Experience Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within restaurant, retail, or related fields.
Business management coursework or relevant hands-on experience is a plus.
Proficiency with digital marketing and basic IT troubleshooting is a bonus but not required.
