The Break is seeking skilled kitchen staff members to join our team! The ideal candidate is hard-working, motivated, and has a passion for delicious food. This position will be responsible to assist with food preparation, prepare dishes, clean the kitchen, wash dishes, and more.
Responsibilities
-Operate cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers, and griddles
-Used equipment in the kitchen including stoves, slicers, knives and other utensils in a sanitary and safe manner
-Preparing to order all food dishes following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits
-Follow compliance for cooking and storing procedures that ensure appropriate temperatures are reached and maintained for food to be safe for consumption
-Prepping assigned items associated with assigned station; ensuring freshness of ingredients; labeling prepped ingredients with name of item, date
-Perform dishwasher duties and general cleaning duties
-Team Player and understands that it takes a team to keep our kitchen’s moving
Qualifications
-Minimum education level: High School diploma or GED
-Valid CA food handler’s certification
-Reliable transportation and ability to arrive to work on time
-Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
