We Are

We are the premier vacation rental management company in San Luis Obispo County with our office in Morro Bay CA and we’re recruiting for a full-time Assistant General Manager. Our hard-working, dynamic, can-do staff manages over 60 vacation rental properties in the County. We all pitch in and wear many hats for our 7-day-a-week operation and we manage to have a lot of fun doing it!

You Are

Our ideal candidate is an organized, energetic problem-solver comfortable with both technology and people – from guests to vendors to CEO homeowners and housekeepers. This position requires office management experience, the ability to work independently and take direction. A background in hospitality or property management is desirable. Experience with Word, Excel and the ability to quickly learn a variety of software applications and systems is mandatory. Additionally, a cell phone and a reliable vehicle to be used on the job are required. Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory driving, credit and background check. A Bachelor’s degree is desired but can be substituted with 3 years of hospitality experience. Living within 30 minutes of Morro Bay is necessary to respond (rarely) to on-site issues.

The Job

The Assistant General Manager position will report to and support the General Manager and be required to develop an in-depth knowledge of our reservation, housekeeping and maintenance systems and processes in order to provide day-to-day operations oversight.

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt-from-over-time-pay position with on-call, after-hours duty required every third week. Current work schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am – 5:00pm and is subject to change based on company needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting our Housekeeping Manager to resolve maintenance and housekeeping issues, communicating with property owners as needed, assist with website, advertising and social media updates and acquire in-depth knowledge of all homes’ infrastructure and features. The Assistant General Manager will perform most duties of the General Manager in their absence and may be asked to provide accounts payable and receivable support.

The Compensation

Starting salary of $66,560 or greater based on experience and education

Potential annual bonus, based on job performance

5 sick days per year per California law.

2 weeks paid vacation

5 paid Holidays

Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard mileage rate for all vehicle usage on the job.

Voluntary participation in company Simple IRA plan with matching contributions up to 3% of salary.
