Our Internal Medicine office is in need of a full time Medical Assistant. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can be effective in a fast-paced setting and provide outstanding customer service. This position needs to be filled immediately. Required Qualifications:
Completion of Medical Assistant program
At least one year of medical assisting experience
Highly organized, detail orientated, and ability to consistently multi-task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent computer / EMR skills
Outgoing and must enjoy interpersonal interaction
Knowledge in medical terminology and pharmacology
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
Escorts patient to exam room; obtains brief history and vital signs; updates medical records for clinician's review
Assists providers with procedures and cleanup.
Assures exam rooms are cleaned and disinfected after every patient
Equipment sterilization
Performing EKG’s
Giving injections
Accurate documentation in electronic health record
Ensures that prescription refills are completed in a timely manner
Triage calls and occasionally schedule appointments
Referrals
