We’re looking for a friendly, dependable MA with strong injection skills to support a dedicated team of providers in a well-established medical clinic in North San Luis Obispo County. Duties:
Greet and room patients with professionalism and warmth
Record and document vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, etc.)
Administer immunizations accurately and safely
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers with visits and in-office procedures
Perform basic screenings: rapid strep, glucose, urinalysis, Hgb, lead, vision, and hearing
Accurately enter patient information and visit notes into the EMR
Assist with referrals, prescription refills, and follow-up appointment coordination
Provide appropriate educational handouts and after-visit summaries
Support front desk staff when needed (phone calls, appointment scheduling)
Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and assist with instrument sterilization
Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy at all times
Requirements:
Medical Assistant certification preferred
Must have hands-on experience administering injections/immunizations
Prior experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family practice, or pediatrics a plus
Proficiency with EMR systems and strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients of all ages
A positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to quality care
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay: $21-$25/hr DOE
