Local private animal sanctuary in Arroyo Grande is in need of an animal caretaker. Caretaking includes feeding, freshening water and sometimes giving oral medications. Caretaking also includes cleaning out our barn, animal enclosures and surrounding areas.
It is not required though we prefer someone with farm animal experience because this job will be much easier for someone who has experience with farm animals. The expected hours of work are 8:00 - 11:00 Monday - Friday.
We use Gusto payroll service so caretakers will need to supply documents to Gusto to be put on payroll.
Ideal canditate will:
-have experience with farm animals.
-be caring towards our rescued farm animals.
-be reliable and punctual.
-work well with other caretakers.
-have good communication with manager, fellow caretakers and visitors.
-have their own transportation.
Other available positions:
We also have a position for weekend help for 6 hours per week to be put on payroll.
We also would like to keep an on call caretaker that would be put on payroll.
