Job Description:
Since 2005, Synergy Manufacturing has been an industry innovator and manufacturer of high-end automotive performance components for the Jeep and Dodge Ram Platforms. These components are predominantly made in the USA and are primarily for the off-road aftermarket. In addition to suspension systems, Synergy also manufactures a complete line of heavy-duty steering components, axle upgrades, skid plates, and other related products that dramatically improve vehicle on and off-road capability, performance, and appearance.
We are a fast-growing brand in the aftermarket automotive world and are seeking a motivated Production Technician to support the Production & Fabrication Department here at Synergy. This is a crucial role responsible for cutting, beveling, assembling, welding, and prepping high quality steering and suspension components that bear the brand's name.
Responsibilities:
Deburr and inspect welded components prior to powder-coating
Utilize fixtures and special tools to assemble or set-up specific parts or jobs
Review work instructions to understand steps to fabricate parts
Operate equipment and tools, such as, but not limited to; disc sander, band saw, cold saw, drill press, etc.
Participate in occasional meetings and daily clean-ups
Record time-per-job on "Work Order" sheets
Required Skills and Experience:
1 year or more experience in any manufacturing, industrial, or assembly operations.
Proficient with simple measuring tools - Must be able to read fractions on a tape measure and use a dial caliper.
Proficient with hand tools (wrenches, drill, etc.) and packaging tools (staple gun, tape gun, etc.)
Proficient with reading engineering drawings to understand crucial dimensions of parts being fabricated.
Able to understand and follow oral or written work instructions.
Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
Able to stand and walk throughout the scheduled 8-hour work shift.
Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis throughout the workday.
High attention to detail.
Fluent in English (Required)
High School or equivalent (preferred)
Preferred Skills:
Forklift Certification and operation.
Proficient with manufacturing equipment and tools such as lathes, mills, press brake, drill press, and any CNC operated equipment.
