Moonstone Landing, LLC. is looking to hire a reliable, positive, communicative, and skilled individual for our Assistant Engineering position. The main duty of this position is to assist the Head Maintenance Engineer on their projects around our two oceanfront hotels on Moonstone Beach Drive and aid our Front Desk & Housekeeping Teams with issues that arise at our properties. This candidate must be a good listener and work well in a team.
The core functions of the Assistant Engineer position include, but are not limited to the following;
Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
Be diligent with time management and working independently.
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
Interior and exterior painting.
Spa maintenance.
Changing locks, installing smoke alarms.
Basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
Routine maintenance checks in guest rooms and around properties.
In-take of orders from vendors.
Collaboration with contractors and vendors working on property.
Travel to local hardware store and hotel storage unit in Cambria (mileage compensated).
Must be able to carry 50+ lbs.
Experience in Engineering and/or Maintenance/Handyman work is required.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Valid Drivers License required.
Must be able to speak English. Bilingual is a plus.
Schedule is Friday - Sunday. 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
