Currently seeking a Lab Technician for a biopharmaceutical company located in San Francisco CA. Responsibilities:
Preparation of protein solutions using chromatographic and filtration processes, and preparation of media, buffers, and other solutions for testing
Set up of supplies and equipment needed for evaluating and testing filter performance with biological feedstreams
Execute testing with established protocols for assessing filter performance using as-prepared solutions
Perform all tests and duties with accuracy and good lab practices
Report experimental results and any deviations from standard experimental protocols to the technical manager
Perform basic data analysis
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or related field, and 1-2 years industrial working experience in related field
5-10 years’ experience with no degree
Experience with HPLC, chromatography, and Akta equipment specifically a plus
Hands on experience in laboratory research environment
Significant attention to detail and accuracy in developing, reviewing and following protocols, SOPs, worksheets
