Nationally recognized as a quality lead St. Josephs is consistently chosen as the most preferred hospital by local consumers.ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, decision support, and financial analysis for multi facilities including SJMC, BHC, SJF, and SJSC. Leads the annual operating and capital budgeting process throughout all entities including preparation, training and support. Develops reporting and analysis, including key financial reports and conducts ad hoc financial analysis as required. Responsible for various governmental and agency reporting. Develop and oversee month end statistics and monthly variance reporting. Present financial results and provide supporting analysis. Provides financial modeling and analysis to support the development of short and long term strategic initiatives and business plans. Supports development of the 5 year Financial Plan. Responsible for the operational aspects of financial IT systems including SRC Business Objects, Trendstar, StrataJazz, Visionware, HBI. Oversee the Decision Support function for SJMC and BHC and supervise the Decision Support Analyst ensuring accuracy of cost accounting, trend analysis and service line profitability information. Maintain system and databases. Oversee Productivity Reporting for SJMC, BHC, OCW, and MT including supervising Visionware analysts, setting productivity standards and reviewing departmental results and analysis. Maintains system database. Assist department managers, financial analysts, and directors, Vice Presidents, CFO, COO and Presidents of all entities in the completion of analytical projects, operational results, and productivity. Evaluate and prioritize workload of staff to ensure the organization's business needs are met timely. Provide guidance and support to employees in reaching their goals. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, findings and results of various analyses.QualificationsEducation and Experience:
Minimum five (5) years in hospital financial management with expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, proforma development, cost accounting, and database maintenance.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration. Masters degree in related field preferred.
Must have excellent oral communication and writing skills. Be able to advise and interact with all levels of management and individuals/organizations external to the organization, coordinate multiple project activities and set priorities.
Should be analytical, creative, and show motivation.
Strong computer application skills required.
