HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

Reporting to the Director of Logistics, this position is responsible for the overall operation of the Stockton, CA Terminal including loading and unloading product, as well as rail, truck, ship and any terminal transportation activities.

In this position, there will be a strong emphasis on Cement Terminal Preventive Maintenance & Reliability while providing the leadership required to implement a continuous improvement philosophy.

The individual in this position will be involved and have direct reporting responsibilities for all personnel working at the terminal.

This will include assessment of personnel, development, recruitment, and implementing the management processes and procedures that align with Human Resources and Company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions :

Will be responsible for Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic duties.

Assist in planning for the unloading of cement and slag vessels; monitor the unloading of cement and slag vessels by working with long shore-man.

Assist in coordinating maintenance activities for the terminal.

Detail oriented, with a strong sense of time management, ability to plan and prioritize according to the changing needs of the terminal.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.

Ability to coordinate work, assign work and assist personnel in troubleshooting problems and completion of work.

Responsible for the scheduling and tracking of the Preventative Maintenance program.

Prepare all paperwork involved in Preventive Maintenance and equipment files

Communicate effectively with our internal and external customers

Request quotes for terminal equipment.

Work with plant management to identify problems and address problems as needed.

Assist in plant inspections and complete inspection documentation.

Perform other duties and assignments as required.

Ability to work unsupervised and supervise others when required.

This position will be based in Stockton, CA.

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s degree or Technical degree, or significant Technical / Mechanical Maintenance experience with Cement Terminals.

Must have mechanical and electrical experience

Demonstrated : organizational and communication skills, technical knowledge, hardware and software, with computers, commitment and ability to work in a Total Quality and team environment.

Experience in resolving problems and dealing with difficult situations.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Have good people skills, team player and must be able to multi-task

Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision, as well as be a team player.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.

Minimum of five years of operating experience

Ability to work overtime and weekend shifts

Forklift, Front-End loader, and man-lift experience a plus.

Basic welding experience a plus.

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Must be able to pass TSA security requirements to obtain TWIC
