PT Cook
$14.00 per hour
We are currently looking for a self-motivated, organized, hard-working line cook. The position is part time and should average 20 to 30 hours per week. Job Objective: The primary role kitchen staff at is to prepare meals and support meal preparation for member and guest dining as well and banquet food preparation. Past experience in a fast-paced fine dining environment, professionalism, teamwork, a positive 'can do attitude', and attention to detail are some critical components to the success in the positions. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
⢠Opening and closing shifts
⢠Helping in the front of house when necessary
⢠Mise En Place executed daily
⢠Portion Controls
⢠Clean and organize kitchen daily
⢠Cooking and plating meals to guest needs
⢠Willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
⢠Responsible for implementing all menus including a la carte dining, event/special function menus such as weddings, theme dinners, special luncheons, and other functions.
⢠Responsibilities vary on a day to day basis and may include daily 'prep' work, grill/sauté/pantry, and outdoor food preparation.
⢠Food preparation should be consistent as it relates to taste and appearance, served in a timely manner and sets a standard of quality for San Geronimo. Will not let an imperfect plate leave the kitchen.
⢠Ability to follow direction as it relates to preparing food that is consistent with menu standards and portion control goals.
⢠Assisting other kitchen staff maintaining an immaculately clean kitchen and all culinary work and or storage areas and equipment. Follow all health code standards at all times.
⢠Safe food handling techniques including food handling and storage practices.
⢠Expected to work professionally and courteously with all other staff members in the kitchen, front of house and throughout the course.
⢠Other culinary and food and beverage tasks to be completed upon request.
⢠Dishwasher positions are expected to wash dishes in a safe, careful and expedient manner.
Additional Responsibilities: Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Educational Requirements: High School Graduate. Culinary certificate is a plus.
License / Permits Required: Valid and current California Driver's License, serve safe certification (can be completed upon hire at Club expense), appropriate documentation to work in the United States.
Experience Required: 2 years similar experience in a commensurate hospitality environment.
