The River Mill Event/Wedding Planner
The planner will be responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of a client's event. This includes being highly organized throughout the entire event planning process, the planner must be creative and manage multiple projects at once.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop a detailed wedding plan and timeline for the client, including researching and selecting vendors, managing budgets, and staying organized throughout the wedding planning process.
Coordinate all logistics from scheduling meetings with vendors to overseeing set up on the day of.
Create a detailed schedule for the wedding day and ensure that all vendors are aware of their duties, set-up/breakdown times and responsibilities.
Provide creative solutions to any issues that may arise during the wedding planning process and day of the wedding.
Monitor progress to ensure timelines are being met.
Train and manage staff leading up to, during and after the event.
Establish relationships with vendors and clients to ensure satisfaction.
Ensure the event follows all relevant health and safety regulations.
Stay on top of current wedding trends and etiquette to make recommendations to enhance the wedding day for the bride and groom.
Wedding Planner Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in event planning, hospitality, or a related field, or several years of industry experience with a proven track record of success.
Excellent attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High level of creativity, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other relevant software applications.
A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
