Position Warehouse Manager
Medium sized Wholesale Food Distributor seeks experienced warehouse manager to oversee all functions of a 250k square foot facility in Stockton, CA. Responsibilities include but are not limit too;
- Maintain accurate and timely inventory levels for all products and supplies.
- Ensure sufficient stock of various production supplies so as to not adversely affect production requirements as set by Sales and Customer Service.
- Establish, maintain and ensure that daily production meets and exceeds outbound order requirements as set by Sales and Customer Service.
- Ensure timely and accurate loading and unloading of all outbound customer orders and inbound vendor deliveries via truck and rail.
- Responsible along with facilities Manager for the overall appearance and tidiness of the Warehouse, Truck and Rail Dock areas as well as securely closing down the said areas on a daily basis.
- Responsible to proactively identify potential short shipment situations and notify Customer Service prior to shipping deadline.
- Responsible to continuously review and improve processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency of both Warehouse operations and staff of 70 plus employees.
- Create processes and procedures based around best practices.
- Establish and maintain productivity measures for all necessary processes and procedures performed within the Warehouse group.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all required daily reports from the Warehouse operation to various office functional groups.
- Establish and maintain necessary staff levels, staff distribution, staff training and in conjunction with HR&D adherence to all company policies and procedures related to employees.
- Establish and maintain a safe and hazard free work space by building safety into daily operations.
- Enforce all safety regulations related to Warehouse operations and to equipment and the operation thereof.
A successful candidate will meet the following requirements;
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience in fast paced Food Warehouse and Distribution management environment.
- Strong leadership and motivational skill, with the ability to manage for results.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to assess talent and build strong teams as well as development plans.
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to review data/processes and independently determine and implement solutions.
- Excellent problem solver with ability to think on their feet.
- Knowledge and experience using various computer systems, to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as QuickBooks.
- Fluency in Spanish is Mandatory.
