A small, established Northern California field service company is seeking a mechanically inclined apprentice technician. This is a hands-on role working on commercial equipment at customer locations throughout the region.
This is a skilled trade apprenticeship focused on mechanical and field service work. Clear communication and reliability are required.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assisting with installation and service of commercial equipment
Cleaning, maintenance, and parts handling
Learning mechanical and basic electrical systems
Working in commercial environments
Shop work, preparation, organization, and support tasks when not on service calls
Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
Mechanical aptitude (tools, equipment, vehicles, or machinery)
Clear verbal communication — must speak up and ask questions
Reliable transportation and clean driving record
On time means early
Willing to travel across Northern California
Able to lift equipment and work on your feet
This Role Is NOT For:
Someone who avoids communication
Someone who needs constant prompting
Someone who expects to “just ride along”
