The sensors, which are part of the foundation for a networked world, enable devices to recognize their surroundings and to transmit the data collected.Job DescriptionArchitecture and design of an analog and mixed-signal system in the area of low-power sensors developed for ASICs. Project will entail literature review to gauge state of the art and a combination of system-level exploration via Simulink and/or Cadence Virtuoso with transistor-level implementation in Cadence Virtuoso to arrive at a proof-of-concept.QualificationsRequired Qualification:

Master’s student in Electrical Engineering

Graduate coursework in Analog IC Design with project design experience

Proficiency with MATLAB and Cadence Virtuoso

Coursework that covers topics covering analog and digital signal processing, random processes

Desired Qualification:

PhD student in Electrical Engineering

Familiarity with high-precision analog circuit techniques (e.g. chopping, autozeroing), analog-to-digital converter architectures

Proficiency with Simulink

Experience with behavioral modeling (e.g. Verilog-A/MS)

Additional InformationThe U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $31/hr-$68/hr .
