Influence cross-functional department engineers, and partners to develop mature, and productive optical modules for Augmented and Virtual reality products

Define optical interface specifications and requirements for assembly and subassemblies of optical sub systems

Work with Business Development and Partnerships teams to identify background and foreground IP for external engagements

Create validation plans for optical modules and sub-system components such as lenses, coating and glues as optical module units and optical metrology tools become available

Prioritize testing by organizing technician or engineer time

Bring real-world product development experience rigor to subcomponent test specification, and analytical review of optical performance and optical metrology data for risk assessments impacting user experience, cost, and engineering risk

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Technical Management, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or optical-related role. Requires two years of experience in the following:

Review geometric optical systems in CAD tools: Zemax, Code V or other sequential and nonsequential ray tracing tool

Radiometry and Photometry optomechanical integration and system design

Specify optical tolerances and deriving system requirements with considerations for user experience, privacy, accessibility, health and safety

Develop and mature new technologies and IP internally through 3rd party partnerships

Define Optical interface specifications and requirements for assembly and subassemblies of optical sub-systems

Curating and creating engineering data for risk and tradeoffs assessment

Deriving design and engineering requirements for wearable technologies and optical technologies for AR VR and MR product development applications

Developing non-traditional technologies for AR, VR and MR applications
