Our members integrate authorities across the nation, within Lockheed Martin, our industry partners and leading research universities, into one fast-acting, collaborative group.As a Senior Staff Electro-Optical Systems Engineer, you will: Lead system architecture and CONOPS, perform system level design and decomposition into requirements Perform system analysis and interface definition and management/ execution Participate in studies and system trades for enhanced capabilities Perform systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution Lead and coordinate design reviews and technical product reviews Lead failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards Develop, manage, and verify Electronics products and OPCoE Electronics Perform system and subsystem level CONOPS, analyses, and interface definitions.You would typically have a Bachelors degree and 14-20 years of professional experience, a Masters and 12-18 years, or a PhD and 9-15 years.To promote the sharing of ideas, Lockheed Martin fosters an inclusive work environment that encourages differences and big-picture thinking.Our employees play an active role in strengthening the quality of life where we live and work by volunteering more than 850,000 hours annually. Here are some of the benefits you can enjoy: Medical Dental 401k Paid time off Work/life balance Career development Mentorship opportunities Rewards & recognitionLearn more about Lockheed Martin’s competitive and comprehensive benefits package.Basic Qualifications: Knowledge of one or more systems integration functions including:(1) system trade studies and/or system modeling(2) requirements and interface development(3) system integration, test and/or verification(4) test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies Knowledge of the systems engineering process including trade studies, design reviews and system verification Current Top Secret or DOE-Q clearanceDesired Skills: 14+ years with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, Optics, Software, etc.) Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware/software products throughout the full lifecycle of the program Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied Strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change Experience with Optical Payload Electronics boxes Experience as a CPE or has worked with electronics box development and delivery Active TS/SCI or DOE QBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
