Together, we’re working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the world’s biggest health challenges.The Vice President, Human Resources, Global Operations/Quality is responsible for the strategic HR leadership support for the global manufacturing operations, including supply chain and supporting functions and serves as an inspiring leader and strategic thinker in advancing organizational capabilities. The VP HR will serve as a senior advisor, coach, thought partner to the SVP Global Operations and VP Quality, as well as other leaders on all aspects of human resources. The VP HR will assist in the planning and development of the appropriate organizational alignment and structures, change management, and functional transformations to deliver Cepheid’s manufacturing growth opportunities and objectives.The incumbent will provide leadership to a global HR organization (including direct reports in Sweden and India as well as within the US) delivering programs and initiatives to meet business needs and challenges, improvement of HR operational activities outside the US supporting the full organization in a matrix manner and partnering with Talent Acquisition and Talent Management to deliver outstanding talent at the time of need.Additionally, will focus on developing a strong associate engagement experience that facilitates open communication with leadership, continuous improvement and helps create an environment of trust and inclusion where diversity of all kinds is able to thrive!Further, the VP HR will focus on the development and implementation of a long-term, integrated talent strategy ensuring that the business and HR team has the talent at all levels vital to meet business growth, strong succession, and development plans that serve to support and retain a high-potential workforce.This position is part of the Human Resources organization and will be located in the South Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area with a hybrid remote work arrangement with 3 days on-site requirement.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Advise, influence, and coach senior leaders on people-related implications of business strategies and aspects of people leadership, culture, D+I, and organizational development.

Provide leadership and coaching to the global HR team to ensure growth and development of the HR team is aligned to the needs of the business and advocate for associates as well as leaders; and deliver outstanding HR services, partnership, and strategic support!

Develop and deploy HR programs and solutions that tackle business objectives impacting organizational effectiveness (improve productivity, increase retention/engagement, reduce cost and increase profitability).

Champion Cepheid/Danaher values and culture including engagement, diversity + inclusion, innovation, and growth & development; continue the commercial organization’s ability to attract, engage, and retain a high-performance team delivering growth.

Audits HR success through the delivery of KPIs (talent acquisition, engagement, development, turnover, etc.) and dives into the robust problem-solving process when KPI targets are not achieved by implementing impactful countermeasures.

Support corporate functional initiatives within client group such as engagement survey including improvement actions, performance management, and associate development process, organizational talent assessment and leading evaluation and solving for gaps in organizational planning and talent needs, merit planning, goal setting, annual compliance training, etc.

Provide guidance and act as a point of contact on sophisticated human resources or labor issues by helping conduct investigations on complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications/exposure; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals, and facilitate appropriate action based on established practices.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Advanced degree or certification preferred.

Minimum 20+ years of related experience, 10 years of which should be in leading people and include experience leading larger multi-regional or global HR teams.

Experience supporting dynamic US manufacturing organizations running 24/7 and leading business expansion and complex strategic projects.

Able to work flexible schedules to accommodate global work teams. Travel approximately 25%.

The salary range for this role is 250000 USD to 350000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
