Our location in Temecula, CA currently has an opportunity for an Associate Project Manager.THIS IS AN ON-SITE DAILY POSITION.The OpportunityThis position works out of our Temecula, CA location in the Abbott Vascular Division. Our medical devices help more than 10,000 people have healthier hearts, improve quality of life for thousands of people living with chronic pain and movement disorders, and liberate more than 500,000 people with diabetes from routine fingersticks. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.WHAT YOU'LL DOThe Associate Project Manager serves as the liaison between project owners, project team and management to guarantee an open and accurate communication of project and program achievements and issues to be escalated for resolutions. Identifies areas for process improvements and defines/implements solutions serving as the key contact to disseminate the new process requirements to the organization.The process is intended to ensure the Senior Management has the appropriate data and synthesis thereof for optimal decision-making in support of the Product Portfolio and Division strategy.The successful candidate may also serve as Project Owner for one or more projects in the product portfolio, executing the project in accordance with the above process expectations. Accountable for driving scope, budget, and quality tradeoffs, not only for a given project, but across projects in conjunction with other stakeholders to optimize portfolio value creation.What You’ll Work On

Implement, monitor and improve business processes in support of Project Management, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and sub-processes thereof.

Demonstrate stewardship and project ownership to drive Business and Division strategy and objectives.

Manage activities associated with product-related projects by coordinating the activities from key functional areas such as R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Product Labeling, and Commercial Marketing.

Projects being managed may include market and line extensions, reformulations, new product development, new manufacturing process, new European Union Medical Device Regulations (EU MDR) and/or ISO (International Organization for Standardization) requirements.

Facilitate stakeholders through the project management lifecycle and IBP process; ensure cross-functional team alignment to achieve project milestones.Develop governance and communication plan for reporting to Sr. Management.

Resolve project team conflicts. maintain project data integrity, and report impacts to project timelines to Sr. Management.

Implement process improvements solutions to support and achieve business and divisionallong-term goals.

Provide business updates as needed regarding project status, resource needs, risks and decisions to be escalate to Sr. Management in a timely manner.

Document project management process and use of project management tools and reports

Create a work environment that supports cross-functional team effectiveness.

Minimum Experience / Training RequiredBachelors Degree Business or Technical discipline AND 5+ years experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Masters Degree preferred Business or Technical discipline

Proven working experience in product development, project management and/or business process implementation

Experience in medical devices and / or pharmaceutical is a plus

Cross-functional collaboration and alignment

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Process-oriented thinking, focused on continuous improvement and lessons learned; have demonstrated the ability to define and implement complex and interdependent business processes
