Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are seeking an entry-level accountant to join our manufacturing team based in Torrance, California. As part of the team, you will be involved in various accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable management, bank reconciliation and reporting, system management, general ledger and financial reconciliation, audit support and backup management, and special projects and process improvement. Responsibilities: Oversee the processing and reconciliation of account receivable and account payable transactions Execute daily bank account reconciliations and prepare daily bank reports Manage and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within accounting software systems Regularly perform general ledger account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records Assist with internal and external audits as required and provide backup support for accounting manager for urgent issues Participate in the enhancement of accounting processes and assist in implementing new accounting procedures or systems Handle credit notes for commissions and expenses and ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions Process refund requests and commission offsets Physically deposit checks and cash at the bank as needed Contribute to special financial projects as assigned. Requirements Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Software Systems Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat Familiarity with Dynamics NAV and ERP Solutions Ability to perform Account Analysis and Account Reconciliation Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Understanding of accounting entries and functions Expertise in account coding Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new processes and software.
