GDT is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a three month contract in Tracy, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an distribution center environment (not required), troubleshooting and testing computer systems, working with ServiceNow and is familiar with a Microsoft shop. Candidates will be open to working on-site through the duration of the contract and experience troubleshooting label printers, scanners, RG guns is a plus. The client is the largest art and crafts retailer in the U.S. and would be happy for your assistance during this period.

Top Skills Needed:

• Setup, maintain and troubleshoot supported equipment at the distribution center.
• Installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines, including IT project-related tasks
• Document issues and provide timely resolution using the ServiceNow (Knowledge Zone) ticketing system. This will also include time spent with DC and Artistree end-users on the education and use of the tool.
• Maintain excellent communication and relationships with all end users and other members of the Distribution Center and IT department.
• Provides timely and efficient follow-up on documented issues by providing status updates and resolution information of escalations to management.
• Periodically participates in the collection of metrics, IT asset inventory, analysis, and reporting in support of the Distribution Center Lead Technician and IT department goals.

Day to Day:
The Desktop Support Technician assists staff with technical support of Microsoft Windows desktop/laptop computers, servers, network equipment, storage, applications, label printers, high-speed scanners, RF Guns, server room/data center support and other IT related technology.
Location: Tracy, California
Pay rate: $25-40 per hour (based on experience)
