The Sr. Financial Analyst, Fixed Assets contributes and maintains Universal Studios Hollywood’s fixed assets sub-system and processes.  This role requires interaction with the entire organization at all levels and has a significant impact on financial statements and business records.  This role is responsible for daily problem-solving and must be able to handle dynamic situations independently as they arise. The candidate must be very detail-oriented, have strong communications skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines, as well as a solid background in accounting, capital projects and integrated ERP accounting system structures and activities.Collaborate with the Supervisor of Fixed Assets and USH Capital Finance Manager to identify, review, and track projects for timely capitalization.Execute Fixed Asset acquisition, maintenance, and disposal activities in the SAP subledger and publish the asset register.Prepare and vet schedules of project costs for project close-outs, using invoices, contracts, statements of work and other support from the Creative team/Project Managers.Manage the setup and updating of new SAP Project numbers for approved CARs in the CAR system.Support the preparation of templates for uploading additions and retirements of fixed assets into the accounting system.Support Supervisor in month- and quarter-end fixed asset closing cycles, preparing essential journal entries:Depreciation calculations and accrualsAsset DisposalsConstruction in Progress (CIP) in-service reclassificationReview and adjust project settlements to clear period-end balancesAssist Supervisor in preparing Fixed Assets quarterly data requests, preparing support for audit and tax-related inquiries, miscellaneous projects, and reports.Participate in periodic physical inventories to verify the existence and condition of fixed assets.Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing efficiency and accuracy.Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations.Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors or senior team members.
