Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description Embark on a challenging and rewarding career journey as an Accounting Manager with a successful local construction organization.We seek a meticulous and dedicated individual to manage operational accounting team, spearhead process improvement and finance reporting, ensuring the utmost accuracy and transparency.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, G/C, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition.

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Financial statement preparation and analysis.

Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

Manage month-end and year-end close process for multiple companies.

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Coordinate and assist with preparation of the annual budget.

Interface with external auditors and collaborate with controller to ensure a smooth and timely year-end audit.

Able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.

Consolidation of various operating units and joint ventures.

Special projects in accounting may arise from time to time.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

BS in accounting, M.S. or other advanced degree is a plus.

8+ years of experience on progressive roles, leading and building an accounting organization.

Broad-based operational experience covering all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, annual close and internal/external financial statement reporting.

Strong knowledge of consolidations and intercompany accounting.

Experience with integrated systems including financial reporting, general ledger, purchasing, payables management, and billing/accounts receivables.

Strong quantitative analysis capabilities, with the ability to read, analyze, interpret, and explain complex financial data.

Strong and broad understanding of business processes and all areas of accounting.

Demonstrate organizational skills and excellent oral/written communication skills.

Strong leadership, team building and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate ability to partner productively in a cross-functional capacity.
