RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist veterinarians in providing medical care, physical exams and surgeries to animals.
Maintaining the clinic in a clean, sanitized and orderly manner.
Performs intake exams and weekly foster animal wellness checkups.
Performs data entry into computer system on a daily basis.
Provides on-call emergency phone support for animals in foster care.
Taking and processing x-rays, performing dental cleanings, updating patient records, cleaning, sterilizing equipment,
Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings, filling prescriptions.
Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and provide post-operative care
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
REQUIREMENTS
Certified or licensed Veterinary Technician preferred
Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting; surgical experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure
