The Fluid State Beer Garden is looking for a line cook to join their kitchen. For over 6 years, Fluid State Beer Garden has built a reputation of being not only one the best local places to hang out to enjoy a delicious cocktail or fresh pint but also to enjoy the best pizza in town. With room to move upwards in the future always a possibility, we are searching for a dedicated team member to compliment our already excellent kitchen team! Our model is simple and our team is very close and motivated. We strive to always make the best food, serve the best drinks and have the best costumer service possible. Our hard work and strong connection to the community is the life blood of our business. We stood with our community through the Thomas Fire and stayed open and committed to Ventura during all Covid-19 difficulties. If you choose to become a member of our team you will be joining a multi-cultural staff who are committed to providing excellent service in an extremely fast-paced environment. Starting pay is dependent on skill/experience.

Key Responsibilities

Communication is huge. Possessing the skill to properly and promptly communicate any and all information while working in a busy and loud environment is paramount.

Maintains a good working relationship with coworkers, customers, and management team.

Presenting themselves professionally; Self grooming and upkeep, clean team button-up and apron, non-slip, closed-toe shoes, hair pulled back or covered with a hat.

Food Handler Certificate Required.

Demonstrates strong knowledge of food safety rules and practices.

Knowledge/experience to receive and store items from suppliers when they arrive.

Maintains up to date knowledge of recipes, procedures, and plating of all menu items, including all special, promo or R+D items for which they are responsible.

Prepares all items with care, accuracy and efficiency. The standards are what have made Fluid State the success that it has become.

Coordinates incoming customer orders with other team members. Timing standards are critical and are an important factor in our success.

Works cooperatively with FOH staff to respond to guest needs.

Has awareness to provide assistance to all cook stations during service.

Ensures their work areas are well stocked with all food and equipment needs for service.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, accident awareness and food safety throughout the shift.

Nightly breakdown, restocking and deep cleaning of stations/kitchen.

As required/requested any other duties designated by the management team or kitchen leadership.

Hand Tossed Pizza Experience Preferred and Nights and Weekends are required,
