Warehouse Manager Needed at Carpinteria Flower Company
A Carpinteria cut flower grower and shipper is looking for the right person to manage our Warehouse / Packing House. If you are a self-starter that can manage and motivate a team, then this position may be for you. This is a full-time, benefited position.
Responsibilities include ownership of our order fulfillment system, including the following:
Ensures all orders are filled in a timely manner
Label and palletize daily orders
Process daily shipping paperwork
Oversee fulfillment of all walk-in orders
Oversee movement of product to facilitate timely packing
Ensure adherence to “cold chain” principles
Additional general responsibilities include:
Hire, train and manage all packing house personnel
Conduct timely personnel reviews of team members
Manage communication between packers and sales team
Manage communication with field and delivery drivers
Organize inventory and supplies
Oversee quarterly inventory count of supplies
Maintain a clean and tidy workplace
Oversee all packing house operations
Timesheet management
Applicants must have the following traits and qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Fork Lift Certification (2+ years of experience required)
Valid Drivers License and good driving record
Detail oriented
Problem solver
Ability to manage a team
Good time management
Ability to work under pressure
