Seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Quality Inspector II. The successful candidate will have hands-on inspection experience in precision machined components and/or mechanical parts and the ability to understand and interpret blueprints (GD&T) and applicable drawings, along with a working knowledge of visual and plate inspection techniques. We are specifically looking for someone who is capable of training our entry level employees in inspection techniques. Department: Quality ControlPay Range: $26.00 - $31.50 per hourFull-time: Monday - Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pmBenefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, vacation, sick pay, and 401k!Duties/ResponsibilitiesInspect and test finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with quality standards.Interpret technical specs and blueprints to identify quality issues and ensure products meet required tolerances.Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and other quality characteristics of parts and components.Identify and document defects, non-conformance, or other quality issues.Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.Document inspection results and communicate findings to management.Assist in training entry-level inspectors.Perform other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsHands-on experience inspecting machined components and/or mechanical parts.Ability to understand and interpret blueprints (GD&T) and applicable drawings.Working knowledge of visual and plate inspection techniques.Solid experience using general inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.Familiarity with software such as 1 Factory, PCDmis, Microsoft Excel, MRP database, and general email and computer applications.Understanding of ANSI Y14.5 and True Position.Familiarity with receiving material, first article inspections, non-conformance reporting (NCR), corrective action/preventive action (CAPA), and first pass yield (FPBO)/Recheck.Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and shop math skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Physical Demands: Some job duties are performed in a temperature-controlled office environment, while others are performed in an open warehouse environment with a wider range of temperature variation and exposure to noise, vibrations, fumes, and chemicals.Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers.Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking and bending.Occasional periods of reaching, twisting and turning.Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 20 pounds (And occasionally up to 50).Must pass a visual acuity exam for near distance and color perception per NDT standards (with or without correction) annually.ITAR Requirement: This position requires the use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
