About the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service Representative Position: This position serves as the primary point of contact between our company, our distributor representatives, and our customers. The Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service Representative is key to driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction. In this role you will be expected to own relationships with distributor representatives and customers, provide them with education on our products, help solve their problems by scoping and tailoring our product offerings to provide solutions, and ultimately drive sales for the company. The goal is for this individual to grow to be a Regional Sales Manager position.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with representative firms nationwide to grow sales
o Work with sales reps daily to develop solutions for customer needs
o Travel to representatives (coordinating your own travel schedule)
o Provide training / education to large engineering firms and representatives
o Research new representatives / industries to identify growth opportunities for the company
o Prepare annual sales goals and execute plans to meet those targets
o Maintain representative relationships and contact lists
o Review specifications and produce quotations per customer requests
Perform basic marketing functions to grow awareness of the company
o Draft and develop newsletters
o Attend trade shows
o Assist with literature updates
o Write technical “white papers”
o Research new industry certification requirements
o Research and expand into new marketing channels (e.g., social media, etc.)
Other duties will include:
o Coordinate projects in conjunction with internal engineering department
o Inside sales tasks
Assist with incoming calls
Field technical calls
Maintain order tracking data and communicate to stakeholders appropriately
Field general requests / questions
o Research newer promotional items
o Maintain training room
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should have the following education, skills and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or five years of technical sales experience in a related field
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook)
Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined
Outstanding public speaking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
