Bevyhouse is a premium builder of custom, prefabricated homes. We design, engineer and build homes in our factory that are faster, stronger and more cost effective than traditional site building. We are growing and have a backlog of work. We are looking for a Carpentry Foreman who wants to join our team and expand their skillset and career opportunities.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for quality craftsmanship and a strong work ethic. Working closely with the Production Manager, the Carpentry Foreman will perform the following tasks:
1. Supervise the activities of the company’s carpenters and laborers
2. Jump in and help the crews as needed for efficient production
3. Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company’s time, manpower and materials on each project
4. Train lower skilled carpenters
5. Provide layout, guidance and team adherence to plans
6. Seek additional responsibility, learn new skills, and create your own potential for advancement within the company.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated ability as a framer/finish carpenter at a residential construction company
Possess understanding of residential construction practices
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with clients, colleagues and subcontractors/laborers to their understanding
Knowledge of related tools, carpentry techniques, equipment and materials
Experience and commitment to client satisfaction
Must have reliable transportation that can transport tools and materials safely between job sites and a clean driving record
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Additional trade knowledge and skills are strongly desired.
