Defined Entertainment Design Inc. is an expanding Home Theater A/V company, in Newbury Park, CA, with over 25 years experience, and is offering a ground floor opportunity for lead installers and entry-level technicians.
Successful candidates will be the ones who value working for a reputable small, family owned corporation that services a very sophisticated clientele that demand the best. The ideal candidates will have between 1 and 5 years experience in the industry, be flexible and willing to learn. The ideal candidates will also be self motivated, responsible individuals that enjoy being a part of a team of professionals.
Candidates must be able to pass a drug and criminal background screening and have a valid drivers license with a good driving record, and dependable transportation. Employees will be working in the field directly with our customers and must be able to drive a vehicle, lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors, use tools for general installation work and be able to climb a ladder.
Candidates with cable, home theater, home security, or telephone experience are encouraged to apply.
Company supplies industry standard tools, uniforms and a company vehicle for its employees to drive to and from worksites.
We are very committed to maintaining a quality workforce and furthering our employee's education, and our installers will attend various educational seminars and classes, which are paid for by the company.
Responsibilities:
Review: Project design, check staged equipment and inspect the job site.
Install: The wiring, the equipment, and complete all the items on the punch list
Maintain: The vehicle and its inventory
Train: The customer in the use of the system
Qualifications:
Experience: Skilled in working with hand and power tools, working with the public, and working with home theater, and home audio is preferred.
Education: High School Diploma
Background: Consumer electronics and construction is preferred.
Schedule: 20-40 hours per week.
Certification: Nicet, Cedia, ISF, CTS-D, EST, Nicet, NSTP, Comitia A+, Comitia HTI + Certification a Plus
Salary Range: Competitive salary depending on qualifications.
