Deputy Credit Officer - Structured ProductsThe Deputy Credit Officer job oversees several credit departments lead by managers that are responsible for the execution of credit initiatives involving complex structured loan products to protect the organization's assets and ensure efficiency in the credit granting process. The role includes oversight of these activities to ensure they are aligned with the Bank's stated risk appetite. The role will have substantial single signature credit authority to approve such transactions. The role is responsible for partnering with the department managers to support the continuous refinement of various credit policies, credit scoring models and related tools which support and guide these business units. Includes supervision and adjudication of new product offerings suggested by the supported line of business. Significant interaction with various Bank regulatory authorities and is expected to play a leadership role in responding to regulatory inquiries and reviews.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Oversees credit activities and decisions for multiple lines of business within the Bank.

Ensures compliance with the organization's credit policy and develops processes and scoring models for negotiating loan terms and assessing client risk.

Defines processes and strategy for approving loan requests, calculating interest rates, and evaluating credit worthiness.

Formulates policies for monitoring customer payments, maintaining records, and following up with clients regarding loan payments and related financial products and services.

Develops relationships with other internal leaders to identify key risk areas for the organization and evaluates and quantifies their potential impact.

Champions solutions, improvements and best practices to increase operational efficiency and lower the operating costs of the credit department.

Monitors competitors and peer organizations to stay abreast of emerging trends in the industry and uses this information to secure the competitive position of the organization.

Manages performance of direct reports through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure the delivery of credit objectives and the engagement, motivation and development of the team.
