DescriptionNational energy company has an immediate opening for a Real Estate Counsel! This Corporate Counsel will focus on commercial real estate transactions around the United States.You'll join a tenured team of attorneys and work in tandem with real estate operations, acting as the point of contact for large commercial transactions. If you're looking to join an established company with a proven track record, this is the position for you! The ideal candidate will have 7-10+ years of real estate experience managing large commercial transactions; CA or NY Bar license is preferred but attorneys with licenses from other states are encouraged to apply. This position is remote, candidates local to the Bay Area are preferred but it's not a requirement for consideration. Responsibilities will include:Negotiate and draft contracts regarding real estate transactions including leases and buy/sell agreements

Provide advice and counsel laws and regulations that pertain to real property including commercial development projects, real estate financing, and leasing

Oversee title issues and searches, escrow arrangements, property management, rights of way, and lease disputes

Legal research

Conduct due diligence reviews in tandem with business units

Correspond with internal business units and involved parties

Projects as assigned
