Discover more about the Hourglass brand story and mission on our website hourglasscosmetics.com The Package Development team collaborates with the CEO and all cross-functional teams to develop and execute new color and skincare products from concept through execution. This role manages all phases of process to ensure products are launched on-time and on budget while maintaining aesthetics, quality and performance. WHAT YOU DO:Works closely with Product Development and cross-functional teams to manage and execute on all project phases, monitoring project timelines and milestonesProject responsibilities include but are not limited to new development, resourcing, sampling, collateral, etc.Understand the scope of the project and provide detailed briefs to suppliersSource and develop stock and custom primary and secondary packaging Create Bill of Materials and review and approve fill & assembly instructions Oversee artwork requests and gather dielines/deco areas and required information for Creative and Production departmentsCollaborates with manager and cross-functional teams to create risk assessmentsManage all areas of package testing including testing samples, perform in-house testing as needed, drop & transit testing, etc. and review and analyze test resultsRequest quotes and manage cost sheet requests to ensure projects meet cost targetsCommunicate and resolve timeline challenges, provide updates on project milestones, and inform appropriate teams of technical and timing issues to ensure seamless project execution.Coordinate and prepare comps for retailer and internal meetings as well as photo-ready samplesReview and approve packaging standards to ensure they meet quality fit, form, function, and aesthetic specificationsResearch and evaluate new materials with an emphasis on sustainability while keeping a pulse on industry trends, innovations, etc. YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF: You are a SELF-STARTER: You thrive in autonomy and are motivated to take initiative. QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Package Development for a cosmetics brandLuxury experience is preferred, but not requiredDetail-oriented, flexible, and innovativeStrong skills in anticipating needs and demonstrating a proactive approach to job responsibilitiesA creative thinkerComfortable asking questionsExceptional communication and presentation skillsStrong organization skillsCreative writing skillsMeticulous attention to detailAbility to think outside the boxPositive personality: able to take on new challenges as they come and to switch gears immediately when necessaryProficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, OutlookMust be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the timeThe expected base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $100,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
