In this job, you will lead a team of Planning Managers within a region in Distribution Construction & Maintenance (DC&M) and be responsible for driving strategy, communication, and consistency across Local Planning as well as supporting performance management and resource forecasting. Partner with cross functional organizations to proactively address customer concerns and ensure consistent customer timeframes and communication are established/maintained
Support Local Planning Managers and peer District Managers with customer issues
Responsible for supporting major customer oversight with Customer Service partners
Partner with Design Resource Planning & Performance Management (Design RPPM) and DC&M Resource Planning & Performance Management (RPPM) to ensure there are appropriate resources and performance metrics in Local Planning to support workload fluctuations, priorities, and emergent work
Facilitate resource sharing and standard methodologies within LP in the region and with peers in other regions
Establish and manage consistent work practices across Local Planning groups including enforcing safety standards/protocols to ensure a safe work environment, and partner with peer Local Planning Senior Managers
Oversee consistent design standard applications across the Local Planning group and partner with peer Local Planning Senior Managers
Drive work environment and diversity, equity, and inclusion advancement
Partner with Design peers in Design Strategies& Performance, New Development Planning, Technical Planning and Transmission for resource sharing, standard methodologies, and process implementation
Create collaborative partnerships within a Region between the Regional Manager, District Managers, and RPPM to build a cohesive leadership team

QualificationsThe essentials
Five or more years managing/supervising an organization/unit or five or more years project management experience.
Experience working with and/or supporting electric utility projects.
The preferred
Seven or more years of experience in planning or project management implementing multiple projects/programs, including maintaining scope and resources, and overseeing the tracking, and reporting of project/program performance
Knowledge of distribution business line and SCE policies, practices, procedures, objectives, and strategies
Experience developing and engaging in discussions with a variety of audiences and levels across the organization
Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop and implement business plans, manage risks, and manage information
Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation
Experience establishing department objectives and work plans as well as staffing and resource needs
Ability to define direction for new processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy for direct report leaders and their employees
Experience with design manuals, policies and procedures (e.g., Distribution Design Standards, Pole Loading Manual)
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

The primary work location for this position is Wildomar, CA.
Position will require up to 65% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
