Description We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a background in real estate transactions to support our client's finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, familiarity with real estate accounting principles, and comfort in managing loan draws.
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, following company policies and procedures.
Review invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain organized records of payable transactions and documentation.
Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment inquiries and issues.
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and analysis related to accounts payable.
Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Manage the process of loan draws, including documentation, verification, and reconciliation with project budgets.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, with a focus on real estate transactions.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Yardi, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Prior experience with loan draw processes preferred.
Knowledge of real estate accounting principles and terminology.
Experience working with real estate development or property management companies is a plus.
