Design Mechanical, Inc. has an immediate opening for a purchasing administrative assistant position. This individual will handle all duties associated with entering purchasing orders, obtaining sales confirmations/acknowledgements from vendors and supporting DMIs purchasing department, project managers and service techs. This challenging, fast-paced position is responsible for assisting the procurement process of materials required to sustain the daily operations of a construction/service operation.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Processing purchase orders in high volume for project managers and service techs
Obtaining sales confirmations/acknowledgements from vendors
Maintaining purchasing documents, files and records
Communicating with vendors regarding product availability and shipping requirements
Providing daily administrative support to the Purchasing Department
Strong data-entry skills with demonstrated accuracy and precision
Attention to detail and accuracy is critical
Demonstrated computer skills Word, Excel, Microsoft systems, Internet Explorer
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision
Be able to meet tight deadlines with little margin for error
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain a professional personal presentation
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
Possess basic math skills and capable of performing calculations via a computer and/or calculator
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Must be able to pass drug screening.
