Fringe is one of Boulder’s fastest growing, upscale restaurant concepts featuring bold southern Italian flavors, a modern take on Neapolitan-style pizzas, and rotating local beer and wine selections. Fringe is seeking an Assistant General Manager with a deep passion for creating memorable guest experiences and an eye for excellence.
The Assistant General Manager will head up the daily operations at Fringe while having the opportunity to build valuable skills alongside a diverse group of experienced industry leaders, chefs, and owners. This is truly a unique growth opportunity for the career-minded candidate.
Assistant General Manager Responsibilities
Manage daily restaurant operations with a focus on consistent execution and enhancing the guest experience
Set expectations and maintain defined service standards
Recruit, onboard, train; offboard restaurant staff as needed
Promote a teaching and learning environment
Write schedules based on forecasted volume, availability, and identified labor targets
Actively demonstrate and encourage a fun, team-based environment
Manage cost of goods, track inventory, and order supplies
Partner with BOH leadership to ensure appropriate staffing, meet production needs, maintain quality standards, and build efficient, effective teams
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of progressive leadership experience in roles such as Front of House Lead, Assistant General Manager, Bar Manager, Supervisor or equivalent in a full-service restaurant
Proven leadership skills, strong communication, and ability to follow through
Ability to motivate others to accomplish goals
Knowledge of restaurant point of sale systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading both Front of House and Back of House teams
Skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Affinity for and knowledge of local craft breweries
Pay will be begin hourly, plus tips, with potential for bonus. Our restaurant group values a healthy balance of work and life, and we recognize that greater success is found when the two align. Managers can expect to work a varied schedule of approximately 40 hours per week.
